Leon loves going food shopping.

Due to his autism, he previously struggled with a severe food disorder, only consuming certain foods and avoiding vegetables altogether. When he was younger it was difficult for him to understand the meaning of healthy and unhealthy foods. 

We implemented a strict food therapy regimen for an extended period to ensure he tried a variety of foods, including vegetables, to support his health.

We believe that this food therapy was the best decision we made for him, as it significantly improved his autistic behaviours and enhanced his understanding of our communication. The health of our bodies and minds are connected, so its important that we take care of both.

We frequently discuss healthy eating, and he now grasps the importance of maintaining our health. In the past, he would refuse to eat any vegetables because he didn't like the taste and textures, but now he understands that they are 'good for healthy tummy' despite the flavour! He has come a long way. 

We encouraged him to illustrate some of his favourite fruits and vegetables, and he created a beautiful piece of artwork.
