Hand made

We’ve recently taken a big step together: creating a website to sell his artwork. This was something I always wanted to do for him—not just as a way to share his talent, but also to show him that he can achieve something with his passion. Every piece of art we sell is made by Leon, right here at home. He pours his imagination into his drawings, often inspired by the things he loves, like animals, dinosaurs, and nature.

But it doesn’t stop there. Leon is part of the entire process, even down to packing the orders to send them off. He may not understand the concept of business fully, but we’re working on it. I want him to learn about earning money and saving it for something he’s deeply passionate about—traveling.

It’s been a learning experience for both of us. For Leon, the joy is in creating his artwork and knowing that people out there appreciate what he does. His face lights up when I show him that someone has bought one of his pieces, and he loves being involved in the process of packing the artwork and getting it ready to send. Each time we do this, I can see his sense of pride growing.

For me, it’s about supporting him in the ways that matter most. His art isn’t just a hobby—it’s his voice, his way of engaging with the world. And now, through this little business we’ve created together, I hope he’ll start to understand the value of his hard work, and how it can help him achieve his dreams, like traveling the world one step at a time.
